The Catchers Bootcamp program is a specialty defensive camp Atlantic Baseball Academy Blue Wave is happy to provide with Cole MacLaren (former player in the Detroit Tigers organization).

MacLaren brings a wealth of experience aspiring Catchers within the Blue Wave, most notable having played Profressional baseball with the Detroit Tigers organization.

Prior to joining the Detroit Tigers organization, MacLaren developed through the ranks of Okotoks Dawgs Baseball Academy (High School - Okotoks, AB), Colby Community College (NJCAA Division1 - Colby, KS) and the University of Pittsburg (NCAA Division 1 - Pittsburg, PA)

Objectives

Cole will look to share his knowledge and passion for the Catcher position with in-depth skill instruction and breakdown including:

  • Stance

  • Signs

  • Receiving

  • Blocking

  • Throwing

  • Tag plays

  • Leadership qualities, etc.

This 3 week camp is suitable for players of all ages and skill levels, whether you are just beginning behind the plate or have competed at a high level.

All camp programming will be held at the Norton Diamond Indoor Soccer Complex located at 21 Myrtle Street, Stratford, PEI.
